Work Experience
I lead the Growth and Graph design teams who've helped Instagram become one of the fastest growing and beloved products in the world. We're focussed on growing our global community, welcoming people on the platform, and helping them connect with the people and things they love.
• Hired and am leading a team of 6 designers, with 70+ engineers, across 5 different teams.
• Grew Instagram from 1 to 2+ billion monthly active users.
• Revamped the new user experience to provide value quicker and mitigate the cold start problem.
• Opened up Instagram’s historically walled garden to people who don’t have an account yet through our logged-out experience and external sharing mechanics.
• Run design reviews for an org of 60+ designers.
Lead designer for several subscription products that give people the ability to support creators, content, and communities that matter most to them.
Spreecast was a live video community. I joined the company as their second designer, grew into design leadership, and eventually became a member of the executive team. During that time I shipped 3 products to market: Spreecast, Room, and Flurry.
I co-founded a design agency servicing small and medium sized businesses. Responsible for all communication, design, and front-end development.
